Trier police reported Wednesday evening, that the 27 year-old student was found on the 15th of September in Oltenita, a small town in Romania. He was described as being in a bewildered state of mind.

A man reported to a police station on his own initiative and claimed to be Maxim Beck. The German police were informed and it was confirmed that the man was who he claimed to be.

The circumstances of his disappearance remain unclear as do his whereabouts since then. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances and understand the full story.

Beck was reported missing  on 29th July, after he failed to show up at his parents home in Dresden for a holiday.
