Scania, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of heavy transport, is to supply 31 defence vehicles to the Luxembourg army.

The all-wheel-drive NATO-specification trucks form part of a deal to upgrade ballistic protection systems.

Altogether 13 of the order vehicles will be equipped with mine and ballistic protection.

The vehicles, which are to be delivered early in 2011, are expected to be used on peace-keeping missions.
