A student from Trier, Maxim Beck has been missing since Saturday 25th  July.  After an unsuccessful preliminary investigation, where they went through his apartment, the Trier police have opened a special investigation and asked the public for information.

The 28 year old student last made contact with his family on Saturday 25th of July.  He was on his way to Dresden where they were expecting him, but he never arrived.

Maxim has been a resident in Graf-Reginar Street in Trier since 2003. He was last heard of on wednesday 29th of July when he tried contacing his parents in Dresden. His phone number could be seen as a missed call on his parents mobile phone  but when they tried to call him back they were unsuccessful.

The young man, who was studying English in Trier,  had a flight scheduled on 30th of July from Frankfurt-Hahn to Berlin and was supposed to travel by bus from Berlin to Dresden. His family waited for him there in vain.

Having drawn their own conclusions, his parents issued a missing-person file to the police in Trier, and a helicopter search was launched but to no avail.

It is unclear whether the young man changed his travel plans or whether he has been victim of a crime. It is sure, though, that he was not on the Frankfurt-Berlin flight.  A major search is being launched in Trier and in police stations around the surrounding area.  A helicopter is also searching along the roads leading to Frankfurt/Hahn airport.

All his friends and acquaintances who were in contact with Maxim over the past few weeks and knew about his travel plans should make themselves known to the « Special Commission for Maxim ».

Maxim Beck is 180cm tall, of slim build and has brown hair, but there is no information on what he was wearing the day of his disappearance. He is not in possession of a vehicle but he does own a « Cube » mountain bike which has also disappeared.
