Colombia's largest leftist guerrilla group released a videotaped message Friday, proposing talks with president-elect Juan Manuel Santos to find a political settlement to their armed conflict.
"What we are proposing today, once again, is that we talk ... We continue to be determined to find political solutions," said Alfonso Cano, the head of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) in the videotape.
The videotape, which was divided into three parts and is more than 30 minutes long, was released on the website of the magazine Resistencia, which the Colombian defense ministry says is a FARC propaganda organ.
