The event, organized by gay rights group Rosa Letzebuerg, aims to promote gay rights issues.
This year, in particular, those who attend will be celebrating parliament's recently-passed law which gives heterosexual and homosexual couples in steady relationships the same rights as married couples. The law does not provide full marriage rights to homosexual couples or allow same-sex couples to adopt children, but it benefits unmarried couples in steady relationships for tax purposes and social security.
Saturday's event will kick off at 2 p.m. with an opening speech followed by Fada's Family Transvestite Show. An oriental dance show will be held at 3:30 p.m., and Clandestinos will perform at 5:15 p.m. The closing speech will be given at 7 p.m.
