Police officer attacked by dog

There was no "Beware of the Dog" sign last night in Heisdorf on the door of a man's house the Luxembourg police wanted to investigate.



There was no "Beware of the Dog"  sign last night in Heisdorf on the door of a man's house the Luxembourg police wanted to investigate.



Yesterday evening, police patrolling in the vicinity of Heisdorf were conductiong house-to-house conducting checks.  Two officers rang the doorbell of a house, but when the door opened a boxer dog suddenly rushed and attacked one of the officers 

Despite resistance from policeman, the dog grabbed his right arm and would not let go.

In his attempt  to struggle the officer fell backwards. His colleague and the and the dog's owner had to intervene to force the animal to release the officer's arm.



Suffering from serious bites, the wounded officer was taken to hospital Ettelbruck.
