3 people injured, one seriously, in head-on collision near Fridhaff

On Wednesday evening a motorist driving under the influence of alcohol caused an accident between Fridhaff and Erpeldange. Around 10:30pm he veered onto the other side of the road, where a first oncoming car managed to avoid a collision, a second car, shortly after, didn't.

The woman driving the second car was badly injured in the crash and had to be cut free from her mangled vehicle by fire fighters. A second person in this car, as well as the drunk driver of the first car were only slightly harmed. Police confiscated the blameworthy driver's licence.

The road between Fridhaff and Erpeldange was closed until almost 2am, for clear-up work on the accident spot. Traffic was diverted through Diekirch.
