The potentially negative role of the FBI in the Bommelëeer case remains shrouded in mystery after justice minister François Biltgen could give no further information on this particular aspect. It's a fact, that of 155 pieces of evidence sent to the United States for examination by the FBI, 88 have seemingly been lost.

Opposition politician Claude Meisch wanted to know what's being done by Luxembourgish authorities to retrieve this useful evidence. The answer he got on Thursday is far from satisfying.

Justice minister François Biltgen simply said, that he isn't in possession of the Bommelëeer files and therefore, knows nothing about their content.
