Criminals forced woman to hand over hand bag and valuables using knife

Late on Thursday night two burglars entered a house in Limpertsberg's Rue Guillaume Schneider by breaking open a cellar window. Both men surprised the woman living there in the bedroom and, armed with a kitchen knife, forced her downstairs. The victim was made to hand over jewellery and cash, which the burglars stashed in the woman's hand bag before fleeing the scene.

Both men were stopped shortly after on the nearby Cote d'Eich, thanks to a police dog catching their scent.

They were arrested and brought before a judge.
