All 20 stores of German company in Grand Duchy to remain open

The roughly 100 to 120 employees of Schlecker in Luxembourg can rest (slightly) easier now.
On Monday, the German company, specialised in the bulk sale of cosmetics and certain food products, announced that its stores outside Germany wouldn't be affected by the bankruptcy procedure it is in since last Friday. Schlecker has 20 stores throughout Luxembourg.

For the thousands of German employees however, these next few weeks will be marked by uncertainty.

By heading to the bankruptcy court, Schlecker is now hoping that it will be allowed to continue trading, albeit after having accepted some changes in structure and financing.
