The hackers'-group Anonymous yesterday posted threats to the Luxembourg-based steel giant Arcelor Mittal. Threats related to closures of Belgian production-sites.

On October 10 2011 Arcelor Mittal announced that both blast furnaces in the Belgian city of Liège would be closed for good. A decision which brought a lot of criticism onto the company. Anonymous say that Arcelor Mittal has actually gone back on a promise made in 2008 to keep the furnaces going indefinitely...Because 4,000 workers and their families will be affected by these closures Anonymous is talking of a gross injustice and has now announced attacks on the Arcelor Mittal website and online-services.

Just recently the steel company had also announced the provisional closures of production sites in Schifflange and Rodange. The Anonymous posting makes no mention of this.

Arcelor Mittal, worldwide leader in the steel-producing sector, hasn't yet commented on the threats.
